Ideas you can open and explore

Creative tools, visual experiments, and reusable libraries from my public GitHub repositories. This collection brings together 21 projects with repository updates during 2024–2026, including older work I continued to develop alongside newer experiments. Ports and adaptations are credited in their descriptions.

Explore the working demos, browse the source, or use the projects as starting points for your own experiments. Screenshots show hosted examples and existing project artwork; some tools are now part of DrawingBots.

Brushmark

Animated graphite, marker, watercolor, and other brush annotations over selectable web text. The library combines painterly rendering with responsive text geometry and configurable animation timing.

Cavalier Contours JS

A TypeScript port of the Cavalier Contours Rust library for offsetting polylines and combining shapes, including curved arc segments. Its interactive playground makes geometric operations visible and editable.

CNC Text Tool

Compose single-stroke lettering for pen plotters, engraving, and CNC workflows. Now hosted as Plotter Text on DrawingBots, it supports text layers, spacing, alignment, and SVG export.

Dot Printer Studio

A visual editor and player for dot-matrix animations, with drawing tools, connections, and a multi-frame timeline. Editable animation files can be played in React or vanilla JavaScript applications.

Draw Presenter

A presentation system that draws letters, brush annotations, and diagrams stroke by stroke. A visual editor works with plain React files, while shader transitions connect the slides.

Egg SVG Visualizer

Preview how an SVG design wraps around a three-dimensional egg before using a drawing robot. Adjust the egg shape, artwork placement, opacity, and projection settings in real time.

Genuary Boolean Algebra

Combine procedural patterns with AND, OR, XOR, and NOT operations to create animated, layered sculptures. The browser interface exposes pattern, threshold, and three-dimensional rendering controls.

GIF Loop Coder

My modernization and standalone packaging of Keith Peters’ GIF Loop Coder animation library. A browser playground pairs code, a live preview, examples, and exports to GIF, video, and still images.

Mosaic JS

A browser port of Jim Bumgardner’s qd_mosaic approach that reconstructs pictures from Quick, Draw! doodles. Match drawings to image tones and export the mosaic as a pen-plotter-ready SVG.

Watercolor Playground

Paint in the browser with flowing washes, pigment mixing, textured paper, and a varied brush library. Drawing, text, shapes, and fill tools combine with wet-paper behavior to create watercolor illustrations.
