I've been itching to design and 3D print a case for a minimalistic Nixie clock. No steampunk, no complex details, just a simple rounded black case with a wood veneer face. To make this clock I purchased a working circuit board on eBay and used Autodesk Fusion 360 to design a 3D printable case that would go well around the circuit board. I then designed a front face that would be laser cut out of cherry wood veneer. I 3D printed the case our of Carbon Fiber PLA and put the clock together with four screws. Overall, it worked out well!
