Nvidia Jetson Nano Developer Kit is a small (80x100) yet powerful computer that was launched in March 2019 by Nvidia and is growing in popularity. I was able to get one in April 2019 and immediately put it to work. One question that I get from people is : what can you do with this board? In this post I'd like to answer that question and inspire makers to use this board. First, let's take a look at the board specs of the Jetson Nano and its carrier board (Developer Kit):
System on Module specs: 128-core Maxwell GPU, quad-core ARM A57 64-bit CPU, 4GB LPDDR4 memory, MIPI CSI-2 PCIe Gen2 high-speed I/O 472 GFLOPS of FP16 compute performance
Developer Kit Ports and interfaces: 4x USB 3.0 A (Host) USB 2.0 Micro B (Device) MIPI CSI-2 x2 (15-position Camera Flex Connector) HDMI 2.0 DisplayPort Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) M.2 Key-E with PCIe x1 MicroSD card slot (3x) I2C, (2x) SPI, UART, I2S, GPIOs
In order to make the board useful, I had to do some shopping for MicroSD card, power supply, keyboard and mouse, and some other peripherals. I've put together a shopping list that should make it easy for you to set it up as well:

When you have the board all set up, what can you do with it? Here's a list of some of the popular use cases for a small but powerful computer like the Jetson Nano Developer Kit:
- Run a web server
- Video Processing and Live Streaming server
- Low End Gaming Computer or Arcade computer
- Everyday use computer (create documents, browse internet)
